The club is located in the 1902 Hendersonville Train Depot by the former Southern Railway route through the famous Saluda Grade on active tracks now used by shortline Blue Ridge Southern RR. Around the corner are a bakery, coffee shop, pizza place, restaurants, ice cream shop, coffee shop and two micro-breweries. We are only a few blocks from downtown Hendersonville. The historic 7th Ave District was the primary commercial area of Hendersonville in its early years.

Founded in 1993, The French Broad E’N’Pire is a N Scale Model Railroad Club consisting of members in Hendersonville, NC, and the surrounding areas. The Club is named for the French Broad River Railroad, an actual railroad chartered in 1855 to operate between Greenville and Asheville. The real railroad was never constructed but lives in a railroad layout as the French Broad River Railroad.

Welcome to the Henderson County Genealogical and Historical Society. The Society is a non-profit, 501(c)3, educational, and cultural organization. We have a vast collection of research materials on the heritage of Henderson County and the surrounding areas. We also have a collection of materials from other states around the country. There are always staff volunteers on hand to assist you with your research and we have Wi-Fi if you would like to bring in your laptop or tablet.

Hands On! Children's Museum is located in historic Downtown Hendersonville, NC near Asheville, Black Mountain, Arden, Flat Rock, Columbus, Tryon, Chimney Rock, and the upstate. We have fun and interactive exhibits that captivate the imagination and ignite wonder!

Tempo Music has been servicing the music needs of Western North Carolina for over 48 years. We have a large selections of new and used Instruments which include Acoustic, Electric and Bass Guitars as well as, Mandolins, Banjos, Keyboards and a wide selection of Drums and Percussion instruments and all the needed accessories. Tempo Music provides experienced professional design assistance with sound systems for bands, featuring Peavey and Yorkville products. We also offer sales, rentals, and service for band and orchestra instruments for all schools.

As of Monday, June 16, we’ve officially opened Teens on Main, our brand-new teen center in the heart of downtown Hendersonville, right where the Main Event used to be. This came about as a temporary solution to a larger than average waitlist for summer, which is typically our busiest time of the year. It all started just a few weeks ago when one of our Club founders, Tom Fazio, heard that nearly 300 kids were stuck on our summer waitlist. In response he offered the old Main Event space so we could serve more youth right away.

Our museum captures, promotes and celebrates our rich history and culture and engages residents and the greater community in preserving our heritage for present and future generations.
