Hendersonville Police Department Monthly Report

HPD provides a monthly report to keep the community informed of department activities, statistics, crime tips and notable events. These reports are the result of the ideas and feedback generated by HPD's Citizen Advisory Group.  

International CALEA Accreditation: A Commitment to Excellence

On November 16, 2024, HPD was awarded international accreditation by CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies), recognizing our adherence to internationally accepted best practices in law enforcement. At the time of accreditation, out of over 18,000 law enforcement agencies nationwide, only 1,303 were CALEA-accredited—and HPD was one of only three agencies in Western North Carolina to achieve this distinction.

✔️ Strengthens crime prevention and response capabilities
✔️ Supports fair and nondiscriminatory personnel practices

Trust Building Campaign

The Hendersonville Police Department has pledged to complete the International Association of Chiefs of Police Trust-Building Campaign.
