We opened Joy of Books because we saw a need for a quality used bookstore in Hendersonville and knew that a bookstore would be an asset to the community. We sell all types of used books including; cookbooks, art books, craft books, self help, health & fitness, children's, etc., as well as a large fiction section. Joy of Books also features local authors and has a large selection of local interest books including birding, hiking and biking books. We are continually adding new merchandise to the store. Besides books, we also sell new and pre-enjoyed cd's and DVD's and other gift items.

Tempo Music has been servicing the music needs of Western North Carolina for over 48 years. We have a large selections of new and used Instruments which include Acoustic, Electric and Bass Guitars as well as, Mandolins, Banjos, Keyboards and a wide selection of Drums and Percussion instruments and all the needed accessories. Tempo Music provides experienced professional design assistance with sound systems for bands, featuring Peavey and Yorkville products. We also offer sales, rentals, and service for band and orchestra instruments for all schools. Our store has how-to books to teach yourself to play any instrument and sheet music for piano and vocals.
